MEET KADENA TATE, CEO, E3WOMAN
I am a creative and intuitive business model strategist. I help people to answer the age old questions ‘Who am I and how can I use my passion to live a life of higher service.
How did you arrive at running E3Woman? What path brought you here? My interests are studying metaphysical principles, marketing strategies, art, travel, jazz and dancing. I was terrified that I could not earn money doing what I love, therefore, for almost 25 years, I ignored the persistent inner whisperings to get aligned to my purpose. Then in 2003, I put my big girl panties on, quit my high paying job in the international aviation industry and started my own business. It failed miserably due to my lack of self-confidence and I ended up in bankruptcy and foreclosure. In 2005, I mustered up my courage and started E3Woman. It has not been easy by any stretch of the imagination, but I am more fulfilled than I have been in my entire life. I awaken each morning filled with tremendous gratitude that I am living a life of passionate purpose and service. E3Woman allows me to expand my paradigm of possibility, embrace the spiritual tools of transformation and experience the ecstasy of enlightened entrepreneurship. This in and of itself is a blessing - as I grow, I can hold the space sacred for my clients to maximize their fullest potential.
What are you known for professionally? What do you have a knack for? I am known as a creative visionary – the Mistress of AHA Moments – because I have the gift of helping a person to clearly see their creative potential from a unique and service-oriented approach. I have a knack for using both my intellect (left-brain)and creative intuition (right brain) to turn a person’s idea into a valuable product and service offering. I am also known for being "The High Priestess of Directness". What this means is that although I know who I am and what I bring to the table, at the same time, I can easily see your divinity. This can be uncomfortable if you’ve never really felt that you were heard, seen and felt. I feel a deep sense of responsibility to hold up a mirror so that people can see that yes, indeed – you are worthy and deserving of the good life and I will do whatever I can to help you.
What’s the one problem you are best at solving for your clients? What do your ideal clients say about you? I am a creative visionary. Not only do I see the short term and long term possibilities for your business, potential roadblocks and successes at one glance, I also see a plethora of opportunities to leapfrog the market and make the idea of competition irrelevant. Seeing the big picture with me helps you have crystal clarity about the future of your business and opens the way for building a viable business model and marketing strategy. I listen very carefully and can intuit unmet needs so that together we can build a model that aligns with your deepest heart’s desire to serve more people.
Who have you worked with in the past? And what have you done for them? For the following individuals, I have engaged in idea birthing sessions, and strategic business, marketing and product creation, design and development sessions:
- The Published author who wants to move her books from storage to her new readers and raving fans.
- The Small business owner and entrepreneur who MUST create a sustainable business growth model
- Accountants, Attorneys, Coaches, Consultants, Speakers, and Trainers with vision, processes, and systems that are Top Secret in that no one knows about them.
- The unsung creative heroes of our society — Artists and Musicians who are ready to move past “garage band” status and monetize their creativity
- Healing Practitioners and/or other service oriented professionals who have important services that would bring health and wholeness to many – if only they knew about it.
- Corporate entities whose employees are meddling in mediocrity. E3Woman provides unique and innovative team building exercises to improve employee morale, improve productivity, increase profitability and leverage efficiencies.

What does the E3Woman Ideal have to do with "ME"? You’ve heard Anthony Robbins say that “Success Leaves Clues”. Many people interpret this to mean the daily success habits of leaders. At E3Woman, we take this a step further and look at the mental construct of successful thought leaders. The E3Woman Ideal is the hidden force that transforms you into an unstoppable force, a true “tsunami of success” in every area of your life.
E3Woman will not address or subscribe to any religious doctrine in our online learning modules or at our retreats, roundtables, conferences, workshops or seminars. We will however share universal spiritual principles that transcend race, religion, culture, personality, etc. We encourage you to take what supports you and leave the rest. You may attend whether you believe in God or not. The purpose behind sharing the E3Woman Ideal is to provide you with a framework upon which to understand exactly what we mean when we say “YOU are the open door through which the Spirit of God flows. NOW is the appointed time to stand fully in your power and speak your truth” E3Woman will never suggest that we are The One and Only Way. We are here to share the E3Woman Way, which is a powerful solution that works if you work it!
Where can we find you when you’re not working? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon? I love to read, spend time with family and friends, dance, visit art galleries, try out new restaurants and travel. My weekends are spent writing, reading and relaxing with loved ones.
How long have you been doing what you do? Technically you could say “my entire life”. You see , my past prepared me for this present moment. Although I opened the doors to E3Woman in 2005, I spent 20 years in sales, marketing, customer service and negotiation. I’ve read personal development and spiritual books since I was a child and I’ve always known that my purpose was to help others maximize their indwelling potential. Rather than stating what I am “doing”, I prefer to say that I am now “being” a woman of love, purpose, power and creative clarity.
Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now? I grew up in New Orleans, La. After high school, I went into the United States Air Force, served 3 years and then worked for British Airways for 20 years. I’ve lived in Altus, OK, Dover, DE, San Antonio, TX, Houston, TX, Fairfax, VA , and now Dallas, TX. I enjoy the Texas weather, the people and the amenities.
Any volunteer activities you’re crazy about? I was a Girl Scout from 3rd grade to 12th grade, therefore volunteerism is in my blood. Whether I am speaking to a small group, raising funds for a project, sharing our passionate purpose, mission and vision with a prospective donor/volunteer, helping to prepare a meal to take to a family in need, or on the clean up committee, I am just honored to be of service.
Any nonprofits you love, & why? I I am passionate about helping to eradicate poverty and abuse of any kind – emotional, physical, or sexual. I believe that the birthright of every human being is health, wealth, loving, harmonious relationships and creative self -expression. I love Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center because they believe as I do – that every adult must be a steward of children. DCAC provides a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach to the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse cases in Dallas County.
Any books, awards or medals, or even medallions? Personal okay, too. In college, I won Economics Student of the Year. This is amazing since considering the fact that both micro and macro- economics were initially my least favorite subjects. However my professor Jacintha Jayatilake did for me what I now do for my clients – she made the complex very simple and she held the learning space sacred for me until I saw in myself what she saw - excellence, success and leadership.
I co-authored a book with Bardi Toto “Thinking Upside Down: Living Right Side Up: How you Think is How You Live”. Our book became an Amazon Best seller in less than two hours. I participated in this project because it allowed me to share my story fo how to overcome adversity. It took me a long time to realize that the "joy is in the journey" especially when that journey is filled with lack, limitation, debt, disease and disappointment. I am a living witness that you can move from victim to victory.
I am a contributing author for the book “Business Model You” published by Wiley Press. Our book was rated the Number One Business Start-up Book and also went on to become an Amazon bestseller. I participated in this book project because it allowed me to collaborate with individuals, like myself, who have a passion for helping people find satisfaction and fulfillment in both their personal and professional life. I am blessed to add to my toolbox more resources to help my clients align their career with their life purpose.
What would be impossible for you to give up? It is impossible for me to give up my belief that every single person can make a positive difference in our society. I believe that the within every person lies the presence, power, provision and purpose of God.
Why would someone not want to work with you? A person who wishes to hold onto a negative vision of the past, desires to imagine a horrible future or sits in an anxiety ridden present will not work well with me.
My clients find value in working with me because my blessing is the ability to hold up a mirror so that you can easily see your indwelling greatness. My blessing allows me to quickly create a customized plan that assembles your gifts, talents, strengths and abilities into value based and marketable products and services.
- You will find value in working with me if you’ve decided that you don’t want to die with your potential locked inside.
- You will find value in working with me if you have knowledge that you feel must be passed on to help others live fuller, richer and more rewarding lives.
- You will find value in working with me if you are ready to create a sustainable business model that honors your highest intention of love and service.
- You will find value in working with me if you are ready to unleash your indwelling potential.
- You will find value in working with me if you believe that life was never meant to be one of struggle but rather one where we celebrate the gift of creative self-expression.
- Finally, you will find value in working with me if you want to earn a 6 or 7 figure income that allows you to fund your philanthropic endeavors.
What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make? I can’t stop talking or thinking about how to assemble a person’s gifts, talents, strengths, abilities and life experiences into valuable and marketable products and services. It is exciting to know that I can be a positive force for good to help others see the best in themselves and how they can actually make a positive impact in the world.
What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can’t you stop talking about? I love to talk about luxury furniture, home decorating, international travel and original Black artists. I am passionate about appreciating beauty in all forms – including people, places and things.
I’m surprised to discover that you only have an Associates Degree. Why didn’t you pursue an advanced degree? When I graduated from high school, I was accepted into the Air Force Academy. I preferred to attend a different college, a non-military institution. My parents could not afford out of state tuition and my father said "You go to the Academy or stay home and attend a college here.". In a rebellious move, I enlisted in the Air Force to teach my father a lesson. Guess which one of us learned the biggest lesson?
Once I got married and had a child, I decided to put if off until our daughter went to jr. high school. When she entered the 7th grade, I enrolled at Northern VA Community College in Annandale, Virginia. I was so excited to be in "college". My GPA was a 4.0 every semester and I was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the Honor Society of 2 year institutions.. I admit that it is exciting to be surrounded by other ‘smart" people.
My original intention was to pursue an advanced degree, however if truth be told, I only wanted the degree to impress other people. That sounds ridiculous to me now but it was my state of consciousness at the time. Thank goodness for maturity. When I engaged in "inner inquiry", I recognized that college did not answer the life questions that plagued me. Questions such as "How do I assemble my gifts, talents, strengths, skills, abilities, book knowledge and life experiences into a value-based, marketable product or service?", "What are the daily disciplines of a successful social entrepreneur?", "How do I build a "conscious brand"?, "How do I speed-read?", "How do I release the guilt that I have about earning a six figure income?", "How do I meditate?", "How do I set proper boundaries as a woman without being perceived as a bitch?" , "How do I write and publish a book?",. "How can I put my life lessons into a learning module to help others?", "How do I write compelling sales copy?", "How do I organize my house?", "How do I raise money for a non-profit?", "How do I build a high-performance team?", "How does one measure social media metrics?’ The list goes on and on.
I completed the Associates program and realized that although college was valuable in some aspects, the market changes very quickly. and in order for ME to engage in speed to market practices, it was important that I participate in immersion based learning modalities. Once I stepped fully out of fear into trusting and believing myself, the learning process was accelerated. Hiring a business coach, taking classes in a variety of disciplines, attending intensive workshops and bootcamps and of course – actually working with clients skyrocketed my self confidence and my overall sense of well-being.
Experiencing bankruptcy and foreclosure when my first business failed also taught me valuable lessons about leadership, influence, connectivity, buyer psychology, etc. that I may have learned in a classroom, but trust me , the experience of it challenged me far greater. You see, it is one thing reading and taking a test about how to service a customer but actually dealing with people and their personalities is an entirely different experience. Not knocking college for those who choose that path. My experience is that self-employment is the greatest personal and professional course if we are willing to look within and connect with our life mission, vision and purpose. I’ve discovered that listening to my intuition, listening to people express their unmet desires and engaging in meditation and contemplation and building relationships with people of various disciplines is of greater benefit for me. Who knows, maybe I will attend college when I’m older but for now, the world is my classroom and i am paying very close attention.
How do you want to be remembered? 100 years from today I would like to be remembered as a beacon of light. Giving hope and inspiration from a place of heart centered leadership. This allows me to help myself and others to look within, see our worthiness and co-create a positive legacy that helps both themselves and their clientele live fuller, richer and more rewarding lives.
Anything else you’d like to tell people about yourself? My close friends call me Lil Baby Oprah. For years this irritated me until my Mother said it to me. That prompted me to actually sat down and watch tv, which is something that I normally did not do. By watching the last season of Oprah, I learned that we share the same love of holding the mirror up so that others can see that every life matters and that they can indeed make a valuable contribution in the communities in which they live, work and serve. We also share a thirst for how to live 100% in alignment with unconditional love and service. Although I desire to be the best “Kadena” that I can be – I am delighted to have a woman such as Oprah model excellence so that every person can embrace the fullness of his or her own potential.
